How does a Belotero filler treatment work?
At the beginning of your treatment, a numbing cream may be applied. Once this has set in, the desired amount of filler is injected into the area to be treated. Sometimes this is done with a cannula to prevent bruising and swelling as much as possible.

The result of Belotero fillers
After a treatment with Belotero hyaluronic acid fillers, you’ll notice that more volume has been added to the desired area. This could mean no more sunken cheeks or a more defined jawline. If you later decide you want less volume, no worries! With hyalase, the fillers can be dissolved in no time.
Belotero remains visible for about six to 12 months. The exact time depends on where you had the fillers placed. Do you notice that after this period the effect starts to fade? Then you are welcome for a repeat treatment! If you want a slightly longer effect of fillers, you can choose Juvéderm.
Aftercare of Belotero fillers
After treatment, you may move the injected areas as normal. Be sure not to massage these areas for the first 48 hours. You may experience bruising or swelling after the treatment, but this will go away by itself with proper cooling.
Bruising can be camouflaged with makeup a few hours after the treatment, once the puncture holes are closed. Furthermore, do not exercise for 48 hours after the treatment and do not visit the sauna or tanning bed for 2 weeks. Exposure to UV radiation can be extra sensitive for the treated skin and affect the result.
