What is a nose bridge filler treatment?

A nose bridge correction with fillers corrects the bump on your nose and smoothens out any existing dents and curves. Fillers are used to make the shape of the nose straighter, making the nose appear straighter and shorter. If you have a large nose, this is a great treatment option. Surgical nose correction by a plastic surgeon is not the only solution to change your nose. With fillers, you also don't have a long recovery time and treatment duration. However, the advantage of plastic surgery is that you can enjoy the result for a longer time. If you want to get rid of an annoying wrinkle on your nose bridge, muscle relaxants might be the solution for you! For questions or advice, you can consult with our practitioners.

How does a nose bridge filler treatment work?

First, a brief consultation takes place with your practitioner. During the consultation, your wishes and expectations are well documented. To assess the situation properly, the practitioner will ask if you have ever had a nose operation. If you have, you cannot undergo a nose bridge filler treatment. Then, a numbing cream will be applied to the area to be treated.

Once this has taken effect, the injection can begin. The filler is injected into various areas of the nose bridge. It fills the area, making the nose appear straighter. Bumps and lumps fade away, and imperfections become invisible. Do you also want to lift the tip of the nose? Then you can combine this treatment with a nose lift using muscle relaxants.

During the consultation, the practitioner will examine your face and take some photos so you can compare the results after the treatment. This way, it will be visible if your wishes have been met.

The practitioner will examine your face where the injection sites will be, and if necessary, this area will be marked. Then, a number of injections will be administered in the area. The treatment takes about 20 minutes.

You may not exercise for 24 hours after the treatment and refrain from visiting the sauna or sunbed for 2 weeks after the treatment. UV exposure can be extra sensitive for the treated skin and affect the treatment’s results.

Result of Nose Bridge Filler Treatment

The result of the nose bridge correction is visible a few days after the treatment. However, keep in mind that the area may still be red and swollen. The optimal result is visible after two weeks and will last an average of 6 to 9 months. The bump on your nose is gone, and the imperfections are no longer visible.

You will see that the nose bridge is smoother, and the dents and curves have disappeared. If you are not satisfied, you can come back for a check-up 2 to 4 weeks after your treatment. If you want to permanently get rid of the bump on your nose or no longer want a wide nose bridge, you can come to us for plastic surgery. Get informed during a free consultation.

Nose Bridge Filler Aftercare

Within the first 48 hours after the treatment, you should not massage or rub the injected area, unless the practitioner recommends it. Possible risks include swelling and bruising after the treatment, in which case it is recommended to cool the area well.

Keep in mind that the swelling will first increase before it decreases. Bruises may be camouflaged with makeup a few hours after the treatment (once the injection holes are closed). Additionally, you should not exercise for 24 hours after the treatment and refrain from visiting the sauna or sunbed for 2 weeks. UV exposure can be extra sensitive for the skin and affect the treatment’s results.

Frequently Asked Questions about Nose Bridge Filler Treatment

he nose bridge is the top of your nose. It is a fusion of two parts of the nose and forms a line between the two nasal bones.

To treat the nose bridge, we typically use 1 ml of filler. This may vary slightly from person to person.

Fillers in the nose bridge can correct imperfections such as bumps or dents. This way, we can slightly adjust the shape of the nose so that you can get rid of certain insecurities. Ask your practitioner about the possibilities.

For a treatment on the nose bridge, we use hyaluronic acid fillers Belotero or Juvéderm. Both brands remain visible for 6 to 9 months. After this period, you are welcome again for a repeat treatment.

Before the fillers are injected, the treatment area is first numbed with a special cream. This way, you feel as little as possible during the treatment.
