How does a hyperhidrosis treatment work?
Injecting muscle relaxants into the armpits is a quick procedure. Firstly, a practitioner will apply a numbing cream to make the treatment comfortable. Then, your practitioner will mark the skin to determine the injection site.
During the treatment, small superficial injections are made approximately every centimeter in your armpits. The number of injections you receive depends on the severity of your sweating and the size of the treatment area. Your practitioner will determine this during the consultation and inform you accordingly.

Result of Hyperhidrosis Treatment
The optimal result is visible after 2 weeks. You’ll sweat less and won’t experience unpleasant odors or sweat stains. Always wait for these 2 weeks for a good result. If you’re not satisfied with the treatment’s result after this period,
you can come in for a follow-up appointment. This appointment should take place within 2 to 4 weeks after the treatment with your practitioner. The effect of muscle relaxants lasts for 3 to 4 months, after which you’ll return for a repeat treatment.
Aftercare for Hyperhidrosis Treatment
After treatment, you may not massage or rub the injected area for the first 48 hours. You may experience bruising or swelling after treatment, which you can alleviate with a cool pack, for example.
Additionally, you should not exercise within 48 hours after treatment and avoid the sauna or sunbed for 2 weeks afterward. Exposure to UV radiation can make the skin extra sensitive and affect the results.
