How Does Breast Correction Work?
Before the surgery, you will first have a consultation. You’ll discuss your desires and expectations with a consultant to determine which breast surgery suits you. Your health will also be reviewed, so always bring a list of your medications. Once you’re confident, you’ll schedule a meeting with the plastic surgeon, where you’ll develop a treatment plan and set a surgery date.
The surgery itself is always performed under general anesthesia. The breasts are marked, and the procedure is carried out according to your treatment plan. Afterward, the incisions are closed with dissolvable stitches and covered with bandages. You’ll be taken to the recovery room and slowly wake up. After a check-up, you can go home.

During a free consultation, you will discuss your desires and expectations with the consultant to discover the best breast surgery for you. For augmentations or implant replacements, you’ll also explore which implants will be used. Photos will be taken, and your health will be assessed. If you’re sure, you’ll meet with the plastic surgeon to finalize the treatment plan and surgery date.
The breast correction procedure is done under general anesthesia. The breasts are marked, and the surgery follows the treatment plan. Afterward, incisions are stitched and bandaged. You’ll be taken to the recovery room to wake up slowly. After a check-up, you can go home.
After surgery, you’ll need to wear a postoperative bra day and night for six weeks. Avoid exercise and heavy lifting for 4-6 weeks. You can drive and remove your bandages after two weeks. Avoid smoking two weeks before and four weeks after surgery for optimal recovery. Once the bandages are off, protect your scars from sun exposure.

While you’ll discuss these details during the consultation, you must be patient after surgery. For all surgeries, you’ll need to wear a postoperative bra for six weeks. You won’t see the full results until after three months, and scars fully heal after a year.
Breast Correction Aftercare
Following surgery, you must wear a postoperative bra day and night for six weeks. This supports the breasts during recovery. Avoid exercise and heavy lifting for 4-6 weeks, as these activities put too much pressure on the breasts. You can drive again after two weeks, but listen carefully to your body. You can also remove your bandages after two weeks, and the stitches will dissolve on their own.
It’s important to live a healthy lifestyle. Stop smoking two weeks before your surgery and continue this for at least four weeks after the procedure. You’ll begin to see results after three months, but your scars will still be sensitive. Protect them from the sun. You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions to follow for optimal recovery.
