The treatment for droopy eyelids

With an upper eyelid correction, we can correct a droopy eyelid. At the beginning of the procedure, the skin to be removed is marked. Then, local anesthesia is applied so you won’t feel any pain. Excess skin is cut away, and the blood vessels are cauterized.

Then everything is neatly stitched in the eyelid crease to minimize any visible scarring. The procedure takes about 45 minutes in total. Make sure someone picks you up afterward, as driving yourself is absolutely not allowed! To address other wrinkles around the eyes, you can opt for a crow’s feet muscle relaxant treatment.

You can make an appointment for a free consultation, which always takes place before the operation. During this appointment, the cosmetic doctor examines the eyelids and assesses suitability for surgery. The waiting time for this is on average two weeks. The operation always takes place at the practitioner you consulted with. It’s important to bring a medication overview to the consultation if you are taking medications.
